Lunduyan ng Sining

Lunduyan ng Sining (Sanctuary of Art) is an SEC-registered group of young and active women-loving women that believes in the artistic ability and beautiful vision of lesbians. We also believe in nourishing that gift by supporting and creating a haven for lesbian art in all forms, accomplished by initiating a series of projects to help flourish and make the lesbian voice, including lesbian issues and advocacies, be heard and acknowledged.

We are on our third year, continuing to conduct activities and programs that aim to further our goals. We are also working with other gay and lesbian organizations, cooperating with the local LGBTQ community as we move to advance gay and lesbian rights. Our activities and programs include:

1. Lesbian Monday Nights - a regular show/program held every second Monday of the month at Magnet Katipunan featuring lesbian artists, musicians and performers. A venue where most lesbian groups get together and give support to the lesbian artists. Open to everyone.

2. Participating in the Annual Manila Pride March organized by Task Force Pride - every year, Lunduyan ng Sining comes with a delegation of lesbian artists to show our support for LGBT rights

3. What These Hands Can Do (Lesbian Literary and Art Folio) - a book compiling the best of the Philippine lesbian artists' literary and visual arts works

4. Rainbow Radio Pilipinas (in cooperation with Rainbow Rights Project) - the first radio show in Metro Manila for LGBTs.

5. Other Past events include lesbian poetry reading, plays with lesbian themes, film-showing, a special concert organized for June Millington of the band FANNY, fora on pilitics, art and music workshops, and outreach and fund-raisers for Typhoon Ondoy victims.
